Pool Membership Rules

  1. I understand that membership is for the Summer of 2007, and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  2. I agree to abide by the rules and regulations of Garden Cove Swim Club. I will obey lifeguards at all times.
  3. I understand that membership may be revoked for misconduct.
  4. I declare that I and additional members on this application are physically fit and able to undertake the activities at Garden Cove Swim Club.
  5. I understand that Garden Cove Swim Club and/or its staff is not responsible for any accident, death, and/or injury received while on the premises.
  6. I understand that Garden Cove Swim Club is not responsible for any damage or loss of property while on the premises.
  7. Garden Cove Swim Club reserves the right to close the pool for repairs, maintenance, bad weather, and unforeseen circumstances.
  8. Garden Cove Swim Club reserves the right to limit occupancy to avoid overcrowding.
  9. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising their children. Children must be able to demonstrate swimming abilities to be allowed without an adult in water deeper than their necks. Parents are responsible for their children’s’ behavior and understand that a child may be asked to leave the Club due to repeated misbehavior.
  10. Children 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless approved by management. Children 12-15, who behave responsibly and can swim the length of the pool, may, upon passing a swim test, apply for pool managers’s approval to swim unaccompanied by their parent for up to 4 hours a day. Unaccompanied young swimmers may not bring guests who are 17 and under.
  11. Members may invite up to 4 guests/day and pay the guest fee of $5.00/day for each guest. Members need management approval to invite more than 4 guests, so that we may assure adequate lifeguard coverage. Guests must be accompanied by the member. Members are held responsible for guests’ behavior.
  12. Garden Cove Swim Club reserves the right to host non-member groups or sponser other pool activities during Members Swim Sessions.
  13. Members will sign in as they enter the pool area.
